Thank
you for placing the short article in the Friday Five. I noticed you gave it the
heading "Martu Native Title", the article also refers to the newly
granted Birriliburu Determined Area as well. This is where Warri Site &
Ngarinarri are these days. That is why the reference to the 5th edition Hema GDT
maps. They now have represented on them the current Determined Areas, and it is
huge. It is far more than just the Martu now. Thankyou again. Mick

and I were please to be given the opportunity to join with members of the Pajero
Club for a special muster held at Turlee Station just south of
All participants were well catered for with various activities running on all
days. We were all given the opportunity to drive around the property, (150,000
acres), visit a Malleefowl nest, do a navigation exercise or enter the 'Show and
Shine' competition. (The Show and Shine had special categories such as the
dirtiest car, the most kid friendly car, the oldest car etc.) Children were well
catered for with colouring activities, face painting, Easter Egg races and many
other events.
The highlight of the Muster was the Sunday evening Dinner where most people
(about 120) managed to find some clean clothes and enjoyed a lovely meal in the
Turlee Shearing Shed.
Congratulations to the organisers especially Carol and Ron and thanks for the
invitation to join the party.

Dear
John & Bev,
On
behalf of the Pajero 4WD Club of Victoria I thank you for the sponsorship of
Westprint of this event. Your donation was most excitedly received by many
who were prize winners across the Easter Turlee event. From all the feedback we
have received, all who attended had a fantastic time and there has been many
asking when the next Muster is to take place.
As
last year was our 25th anniversary we had organised many events throughout the
year, culminating in a busy weekend at
I
believe Turlee was a perfect venue for the Muster and although Sophie &
Nathen were somewhat nervous at dealing with such a large group, we could not
speak highly enough of all their efforts to help make our Muster so successful.
I
believe there will be an article in Overlander 4x4 magazine relating to the
Muster, so you may catch a glimpse of your vehicle on the group photo.
The
Pajero 4WD Club were delighted to have joined with Westprint in putting the
Muster together.

· Re the RV naming debate ... I have run across a bloke (a terminology I find I have recently unconsciously resumed using!) who has written a song about 'whingebagos, moanerhomes and crampervans - undoubtedly unwelcome namings from the point of view of those who punt and pull them around the country! Also, a bird watching cattle station manager's wife used to refer to the migration of 'The Greater Humpbacked Dawdlers' each winter when the caravanners made their appearance on the Barkly Tableland. FYI from a few weeks back. Clorox is an American brand of bleach.
From Gai
A
man absolutely hated his wife's cat and decided to get rid of him one day by
driving him 20 blocks from his home and leaving him at the park. As he was
getting home, the cat was walking up the driveway. The next day he decided to
drive the cat 40 blocks away. He
put
the beast out and headed home.
Driving
back up his driveway, there was the cat!
He
kept taking the cat further and further and the cat would always beat him home.
At last he decided to drive a few miles away, turn right, then left, past the
bridge, then right again and another right until he reached what he thought was
a safe distance from his home, and left the cat there.
Hours
later the man calls home to his wife: "Jen, is the cat there?"
"Yes,"
the wife answers, "why do you ask?"
Frustrated,
the man answered, "Put him on the phone, I'm lost and need
directions!"

ENGINEERS
AND ACCOUNTANTS. A novel approach to saving money.
Three
engineers and three accountants are travelling by train to a conference. At the
station, the three accountants each buy tickets and watch as the three Engineers
buy only a single ticket.
"How
are three people going to travel on only one ticket?" asks an accountant.
"Watch
and you'll see," answers an engineer.
They
all board the train. The accountants take their respective seats but all three
Engineers cram into a restroom and close the door behind them. Shortly after the
train has departed, the conductor comes around collecting tickets. He knocks on
the restroom door and says, "Ticket, please." The door opens just a
crack and a single arm emerges with a ticket in hand. The conductor takes it and
moves on.
The
accountants saw this and agreed it was quite a clever idea. So after the
conference, the accountants decide to copy the Engineers on the return trip and
save some money (being clever with money, and all that). When they get to the
station, they buy a single ticket for the return trip. To their astonishment,
the engineers don't buy a ticket at all.
"How
are you going to travel without a ticket?" says one perplexed accountant.
"Watch
and you'll see," answers an engineer. When they board the train the three
accountants cram into a restroom and the three Engineers cram into another one
nearby. The train departs. Shortly afterward, one of the Engineers leaves his
restroom and walks over to the restroom where the accountants are hiding. He
knocks on the door and says, Ticket, please."
