I am amazed, I spoke with Graeme on Friday afternoon about some Bedell books I ordered and asked to include a map of Gawler Ranges in SA. Today, Monday I had that map and books delivered in Sunbury, thank you for such amazing service.
This is one example I will have to tell all my friends about. Till my next order,
Hi Jo. Just emailing to say thank you for this week's newsletter. I have had a browse, but looking forward to sitting down with a coffee to have a more in depth read. It contains a whole bunch of fascinating reading - thank you for the amount of time and effort you put into these newsletters on a weekly basis.
If I was asked to nominate one thing that defined Westprint, I would without hesitation point to the publication of the story of the epic journey by David Kennon and David Wilson in 1958. We sit and dream, but men like that go out and do it. They are truly inspirational, but had you not published that article so many of us would never have known about them.
Keep up your magnificent work - it inspires us all!
I look forward to your email every Friday. Fantastic effort to put it together. One of the best reads ever.
keep up the great work in producing Friday Five - I always look forward to it.
Thank you all for adding to peoples live every week – you can sense it in your audiences’ stories and contributions. Hope you enjoyed your camping – wonderful to do any where, any time.
Just a note to say thank you for the weekly Newsletters. I do look forward to receiving them each Friday morning.
Our days of travelling in the outback are probably over, but we have such happy memories of travelling with Bill Brinkworth (SA) over the Simpson Desert and to the Kimberley region. The tales of readers’ travels bring it all back to mind so vividly. Today’s edition, for example.
You wonderful people of Nhill are so down to earth and kind hearted (I have enjoyed your hospitality while being involved with the restoration of the old Aeradio building at the aerodrome). I hope to visit you when travel restrictions are lifted.
Thanks again, and warm regards to you all as we all weather the virus lock-down. Sunny days are ahead.
My book, S&S Pigeon, arrived yesterday. The packaging was quite good, and it arrived in excellent condition.
Just a quick word of thanks for the prompt response from my order. I only ordered my two books last Saturday and they arrived on the Wednesday. This is an amazing turnaround given it can sometimes take a week for mail to get from Adelaide out to us, and we are only 50km from Adelaide. Once again, appreciate your prompt service and I will certainly let people know. Peter.
I have recently completed the Binns Track with friends using your Outback Map and Travel Guide. It was a great experience and the guidebook was excellent. The information was good and the distances accurate. Thanks for a great publication!! Gill
Just received one of your maps and I also bought some last year and would just like to thank you for the prompt delivery and of course on your excellent maps
On my periodic visits to Nhill I always make a point of calling into Westprint for a couple of maps and books. The most recent visit in November saw me catching up with John and we had a great discussion on all manner of topics. Apologies John if you were late home for dinner that night. Anyway, your Nhill office and show room is a target rich environment with a fantastic range of books and maps that would be hard to find elsewhere so if any of you are passing through Nhill, duck into 6 Park St and check out the range because it has my 10 out of 10 recommendation. Keep up the good work you guys and I’ll be back in a few months to stock up my personal library a little more. John
G'day all, Jim here,
As a 10 pound tourist who landed 50 years ago for a 2 year visit and somehow seemed to stay I've been to a lot of places mentioned in friday 5, but now age has caught up and crawling around on hands and knees in the dirt setting up my caravan has lost it's appeal, so my travels are now experienced through your weekly news sheet. Keep up the good work, thanks.
Jo, just read your latest (7th June) and as usual full of interesting and useful info.
At 85, I do not do outback any more, but surely like to keep in touch with what is happening in our wonderful outback. I like to believe that I can still hack it, but my travelling mates, of similar age, tell me I am nuts ! (wife confirms they are right).
Started using your maps somewhere in the mid nineties, and was always impressed with the good info in them. Later, added your wonderful Friday Five when I discovered the internet. What has happened to our German friend?. Can’t think of his name, but felt he knew a lot more about travelling Oz than a lot of we locals. Was he from sunny Dortmund ?
Thank you for all your work, always look forward to the Friday email. B
Just to say thanks to you guys for diligently producing the Friday 5 to keep us up to speed with things Australian. What a great line of communication for those of us who love travelling the great outback, as there is always useful and current updates on what we need to know. Keep up the good work. Richard & Liz
Hi Friday Five Team,
Just a quick note to say thanks for your weekly news. I eagerly look forward to it each week & enjoy reading all the various contributions. Well done team for your mammoth effort every week.
Sincere thanks from an interested traveller
Dear Jo, Graeme and Team
I have been receiving and enjoying your ‘Friday Five’ newsletter for many years, and I have appreciated every one of them. I thought I should jot you a very quick line to say thanks you for your wonderful efforts.
The preparation of this document every week must take much time. Every edition is very professional, well written, interesting and great to read. Everybody concerned should take a huge bow!!!
I am afraid old age and a few health gremlins have curtailed our caravan & 4WD bush travels a bit, but I still enjoy reading my Friday emails. We sit back now and watch our grandsons do all of the things we loved to do!
Again, our sincere thanks. You have brought a lot of pleasure to a lot of people.
Cheers, and keep on camping!
Heather and Ron
